Family Dinner.

Adriana looked around the table that was crowded high with food of all sorts. Next to her was her husband the king, and opposite, was that girl that was her step daughter. "So honey, what do you fancy on doing tonight?" she asked him with a wink, totally ignoring the fact that Arielle was at the table with them.

Sienna picked at her food, trying her best to ignore the pair sitting across from her. She hated living in the castle, it felt wrong. She missed her mother, and she also missed the first friend she'd made since her mother's passing - Nicholai. Sighing, she glared at her step-mother then looked back at her food, a disappointed look on her face.

"Arielle, don't look at your step mother that way " Edward snapped sending her a stern look. He had just wished that they would get along. It was obvious Arielle detested her and he had no idea why. Adriana was the best thing that happened to him since his first wife passed away."I don't know, have anything in mind?" he asked turning his attention back to his wife.

"Sorry, father." The darker-haired girl responded, her voice like a whisper. Getting along with Adriana was hard, she always acted as thought Sienna was a peasant, rather then the heir to the throne. All she wanted was to be happy once again.

"Well Ed, I can think of many things," she said with a laugh. She rolled her eyes at the little brat. She was such an attention seeker, always trying to get her dad to notice her. "Don't worry Edward, you know that she just needs some discipline, someone to tell her that she cant always get her way" she said to her husband acting as if Sienna wasn't in the room.

Family dinners were always hard, feeling as though she was in a place where she didn't belong. She felt lost. Barely looking up, she muttered a quiet, "May I be excused?"
